Privacy Policy
NumeriDuel is built so that the easiest way to protect your privacy is also the cheapest for us: don't collect the data in the first place.
1. No account, no identity
You can play every mode without registering. When a multiplayer feature needs to tell two browsers apart, the site generates a random identifier that lives in your browser's local storage. It is not linked to your real identity, and you can delete it by clearing site data.
2. What is stored, and where
- In your browser (localStorage): chosen difficulty, theme, already-seen hints, practice statistics, and the random local identifier. None of this is uploaded.
- On our servers: a nickname and score when you finish a daily or ranked round, plus the timestamps needed to build a daily leaderboard. A nickname is whatever you typed — please do not use your real name.
3. Cookies and analytics
We do not set advertising cookies, and we do not embed third-party analytics or social widgets. Essential functional cookies may be used for load balancing and security by our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages), which also handles HTTPS for us.
4. Server logs
Like any public website, our infrastructure records standard request logs — IP address, user agent, requested path, and status — retained for a short period for abuse detection and debugging. These logs are not used to build behavioural profiles.
5. Children
The puzzles are suitable for all ages and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If a child entered a nickname that reveals personal information, email us and we will remove that entry.
6. Your rights (EEA / UK / California)
You can ask us to export or delete anything tied to a nickname, and you can object to processing. Because the data is pseudonymous (a nickname and score), we may need you to tell us the exact nickname and game to locate it.
7. Changes
Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the "last updated" line below.
